Our certified Gemologist appraiser’s will inspect each piece carefully for any treatments to the stone or any damage to the mounting or stones

They will identify all clarity characteristics and give the stones a gemological grade including weight, cut, color and clarity grades

Our gemologists will then take all the elements of the piece including the weight, the stones, etc. into consideration when determining the value of each article

Each piece will get a typed document stating all of its important specifications and characteristics as well as a value and a picture of the piece.

   A proper appraisal should always:

• describe all characteristics of the piece, including weights, grades, and measurements;
• state any treatments given the gem that are not part of the usual processing of this type of gemstone, or states that the gem is untreated;
• state whether the gem is natural or synthetic;
• give the manufacturer, workmanship, metal and karatage of the mounting;
• give the value of the jewelry; and
• include a photograph of the gem.

Such an appraisal will serve as your written assurance of the quality of the jewelry. It will also help your insurer set the proper premiums.
